Tommy Hillfiger S/S14

As a self-described prepster, I naturally love the look and clothes of the iconic Tommy Hilfiger brand. But alas...S/S14 is like no other Tommy Hilfiger collection I've seen. The colours are brighter, neoprene and leather take center stage, and the aesthetic is less "New England prep" and much more "California surfer". I'm in love! The half-unzipped pants look like they can go straight from surf to dinner, and the pastel leather take on neoprene is classy and downright adorable. These clothes are less of a want, more of a need. I'm obsessed.

Vintage Inspiration

The 1950's are one of my all time favourite fashion eras (topped only by the Gatsby glam of the Roaring 20s, of course). One of the perfect examples of the flouncy dresses and elegance that was created in that era is Grace Kelly. Each and every one of her dresses in Hitchcock's Rear Window is amazing ( most are designed by Edith Head). Grace Kelly is definetly one of my greatest fashion inspirations, alongside Audrey Hepburn. I've yet to find a modern collection with the same elegance as Grace's fashion. Maybe I'll have to design it, eh?

Diesel's We Are Connected

Ever heard of Jillian Mercado? Neither had I, until earlier this year, when Diesel started it's We Are Connected campaign. The wheelchair bound fashion blogger applied to diesel as a joke and ended up booked for a photoshoot, the pictures of which were later posted across Diesel's website and throughout stores. Wheelchair or not, the model owns the shoot, and I don't doubt that the fashion world will see more news like this soon.

Coconut hunting

Cruisin'
Over March Break I went on one of my favourite vacations ever: To Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. For 1 amazing week i was able to escape the constant torrent of snow in MTL and enjoy the sun, sand, and aquamarine water. There was coconuts everywhere, and we went down to the beach daily. I also got a chance to break out some of my favourite summer clothes for the first time in a very long time.
I would reccomend Punta Cana to anyone!
