Back to School Lookbook

Unfortunately..as all the Staples commercials have shown us (most wonderful time of the year? Excuse me?), school  is upon us again. With the assistance from my friend Caterina, we've put together 4 outfits that are perfect for the last days of freedom  summer, and the first few days of whatever school or work you're heading back to.

This first outfit is perfect if your school or workplace has stricter dresscodes, as the romper has long sleeves (which also makes it warmer for chilly mornings). I love the grey floral on this romper because I'm the type of girl who jumps at the chance to wear anything flowery, but the dark tones in this specific print are better for fall because they pair well with all the jewel tones like maroon, emerald, and gold that fall is filled with, and are also very on trend at the moment. If you don't like floral prints because you find them too girly or bright, a romper or dress like this is perfect. Her boots are also super cute for the upcoming autumn season, because they're easily paired with many outfits and are less summery than sandals

I absolutely love this second outfit! The army green coloured skirt is perfect for fall and it's trumpet shape is a fresh change from the traditional circle skirt. I'm also a lover of button ups tied at the waist, as you can tell. This makes the outfit more preppy, and the long sleeves, like the previous outfit, are perfect for the cold and for dress codes. Button ups and skirts also look perfect when layered underneath coats (a quilted navy one maybe?) with knitted scarves for when the October weather sets in.
Button up: American Eagle
Skirt: Dynamite

This outfit is so cute and girly, and great for your first day when the temperatures are still up. I love the long lace detailing on the crop top. The flip flops are more laid back for the warmer days, and the slit on the maxi skirt adds a sassy touch to the outfit. You could also add a  loose knitted cardigan to cover up straps or to just warm up an outfit like this if you'd like.

This outfit is one of my most favourite ones for the first week of school. There's no question about the cute baby blue lace of the dress, and the cardigan is so soft: it feels like you're wrapped in a blanket! I also love the triangle cut out on the back, which adds a flirty touch to the dress without it being revealing. I love dresses for those early mornings when you don't have time to put a full outfit together, put you'd like to look stylish.
Dress: Garage
Cardigan: Garage
